Charlotte, NC Immersions Practical Integration of Asana Movements with the Koshas, Gunas, & Kleshas Part 1 of 2 Friday April 10th - Sunday April 12th 2015
Practical Integration of Movement with the Koshas, Gunas, & Kleshas With Sybil Nance, E-RYT, 800 HR Certified Yoga Therapist, Instructor HYTI Teacher Training This weekend immersion will build the bridge between the spiritual teachings and the physical body. It will propel you forward as an emerging Yoga Therapist. During this very interactive immersion we'll dive into what the teachers of yoga know and have used in the past. We'll then build from that base knowledge many very practical tools for supporting your clients in their healing process. You will learn to be more inquisitive about the body in front of you from the standpoint of the holistic healing process, and be less concerned with prescribing specific movements. This immersion will teach you how to not only see the bio-mechanics of movement that are working well and those that are not working, but will help you to simply see the client as they are. We will discuss each unique body, through yoga asana, will guide the Yoga Therapist to the appropriate use of Meditation, Mantra, Mudra, Prananyama, Movements, Silence, and Rest. The participants will learn through a variety of processes and observations a new way of seeing the body in front of them. They will learn to blend aspects of a spiritual nature while working with basic physical problems such as a sore shoulder or chronic back pain. Have you ever wondered how you are going to remember every complex health condition and every contraindication needed as a yoga therapist ? Have you ever looked at a body in front of you and thought what do I do next? Have you ever felt that what you offer is really just Yoga Asana in a private session and you know there is something more? Something Magical is missing in what you offer? Are you interested in applying all the anatomy you have learned into a practical, useful tool to help clients out of pain. ** Please note that Part I and Part II can be taken in any order. Example Weekend Schedule Friday: Physical practice and process work Saturday:
